On April 19, 2024, Chinese home appliance giant Midea agreed to acquire the Climate Division of Switzerland’s Arbonia Group for €760 million. This division includes companies such as Sabiana, Termovent, and Tecna, which manufacture air conditioning and heating systems. Midea plans to retain and further expand these brands. By bringing them under its umbrella, Midea aims to develop innovative solutions that enhance energy efficiency and home comfort, thereby promoting a sustainable energy transition.
