Patrick Crombez, General Manager of Heating and Renewable Energy at Daikin Europe, has been appointed the new President of the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA). He will serve in this role for the next two years, succeeding Martin Forsén of NIBE. Upon his appointment, Crombez emphasized the critical role of heat pumps, highlighting their position as the first choice for both residential and commercial applications, as well as their central role in renewable, sustainable, and smart energy systems. He also stated that decarbonization in Europe depends on regulatory stability and consistency, and called for the prompt implementation of the EU Heat Pump Action Plan.
