Recognizing the urgent need to address climate change and comply with environmental regulations, Honeywell has invested over $1 billion in research, development, and production capacity to deliver ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) alternatives.
The Solstice® range covers a broad spectrum of applications, including rack compressors, display cases, condensing units, monoblocks, heat pumps, and chillers. These refrigerants enable energy savings and reduced greenhouse gas emissions—without compromising system performance.
According to recent data, the adoption of Honeywell’s Solstice® solutions has contributed to avoiding approximately 295 million metric tons of carbon emissions—equivalent to the annual emissions of about 62 million cars.
The Solstice® line has gained recognition across European retail sectors. For instance, at the U Express outlet in Lyon, France, Solstice® N71 (R-471A) was implemented to enhance customer experience while reducing energy consumption. In Italy, supermarket chain MD successfully adopted Solstice® L40X (R-455A), citing its high performance and cost-efficiency.
